Journey

I was born on Lake Como, in northern Italy, at the foot of the Alps, a landscape that shaped my early understanding of space, light, and form.

I received a double degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and qualified as both an architect and a civil engineer in Italy.

After working with international practices including Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter in Oslo, Archea Associati in Milan, and Arup, I relocated to Toronto in 2022.
In 2020, I founded Alberto Proserpio Architect. One year later, I was recognized as one of the Top 10 Young Italian Architects.

Over time, I have developed comprehensive expertise across all design phases, with a particular focus on residential architecture.

Practice

My work spans multiple countries, with projects developed across Europe and North America. Each commission is approached with the same level of care, regardless of scale or location.

I bring together the cultural depth of Italian architecture and the pragmatic clarity of Scandinavian design, creating spaces that are both expressive and functional. This international background allows me to work confidently across different contexts while maintaining a consistent architectural quality.

Recognition

My projects have received multiple awards through open architectural competitions, contributing to international recognition of my work.

As a result, I have been invited to present and share my professional journey at seminars and conferences, contributing to the education and training of other architects.

My work has been exhibited in several venues across Italy and internationally, including exhibitions at the Polish Chamber of Architects in Warsaw.
